Covid Reflection

This image was created to reflect on the global Covid-19 Pandemic beginning in 2020 and especially to thank NHS (and other public service) staff who fought the Pandemic and, in many cases, died from the virus while doing so.

As many will know, a curved rainbow became somewhat of a symbol during part of the pandemic where many would create rainbows to display on their windows facing the outside world. The phrase "Thank You, NHS" additionally became synonymous with this spontaneous national phenomenon of appreciation of the NHS (and other public service workers).

The specific day of reflection has shifted over time, with all prior to 2024 occurring on the 23rd of March and the 2024 day occurring on the 3rd of March (the first Sunday of March). Whatever day the National Day of Covid Reflection takes place on in the future, this will be used to commemorate the occasion.

About the design of the image, it was decided to purposefully keep it looking light hearted and of a lower quality in order to reflect how the designs at the time appeared.
