Introduction
At the centre of Tarka Accord is the Tarka Accord Committee. This internal group operates all of Tarka Accord’s functions, with various members having either specific duties or general assistant roles. The committee itself is split into a UK and US Branch with the Chairman of the group overseeing both.
UK Branch
As a synopsis of the UK Branch’s duties – as outlined more extensively on the ‘mission’ page (here) – it is to create, grow and work alongside the Tarka Accord Democratic Forum. This forum is accessible to all people who live in North Devon and Torridge Constituency and is designed to be a part of the democratic reformation process - specifically to bring democracy closer to the people by making it more accessible to contribute.
US Branch
The primary duty of the US Branch of the Tarka Accord Committee is to provide resources to those in the United States who fear the end of democracy to either leave the country – if need be – or to resist against it. The US Branch of Tarka Accord is the younger of the two branches, and so is accordingly still growing to find its specific mission and distinct goals; due to this, the US Branch is currently laying the foundations of resistance against what may be to come.
Membership
Although Tarka Accord is growing, we need more members to make the change that we aspire towards. Thus, an open invitation to the committee is extended to all. Almost everyone can make a difference, no matter how small they may feel – so to all those who want to be able to work for a meaningful change for the better, the Tarka Accord Committee is waiting with open arms.
